Environmentalists Don't Like Clean Energy Either

I want to collect articles here which can serve as examples of energy options being attacked.  Often the overly zealous environmental types make an argument like, "I'm not opposed to [nuclear power or clean coal or clean drilling or whatever], we just need to do it properly."  The problem is that whenever someone tries to build a plant, they can't because nothing can quite be good enough.  I will update this post regularly as I find examples which are on topic.

October 20, 2009.  The first example was mentioned in the National Review Online blog "Planet Gore".  A company in New Jersey is attempting to build a clean coal plant which will sequester CO2 offshore.  Environmentalists oppose construction of the plant.

Welcome!
 
This Blog will be a place where I collect global warming related material.  When I find news, editorials, movie clips, etc. which offer useful facts, analysis, humor or other useful material related to the subject, I plan to post about it and link to it here.
 
Over time I hope to have several entries which I update regularly with new artlicles or new on a particular topic.  The first one for example will have links to articles where environmentalists fight against green energy.  We need windmills they say, but when you try to build them they complain that bats will be killed.  We need clean coal they say, but then try to stop the plant from being built.  I encourage anyone who has useful material on such a topic to post links in the comments section and I will try to add them to the main post crediting whoever provides the link.
 
In addition to the various news related posts, I will be working on formulating arguments which attack the global warming scare from various angles.  The goal is to have an organized and brief summary of the flaws of global warming hysteria.
 
This blog will by my personal resource to quickly find material which will be helpful when discussing the issue with others.  I hope it will be useful to you as well.
